The Special Classes
Special classes differ from divisions because they have many different aspecs. Each class is unique and is judged differently from the classic classes.

The Hunter Derby
There are two rounds of the derby, the normal hunter round (the Classic Round) and then the handy round. the Classic round is judged like a normal hunter course. The Handy round is judged by how smooth you can make the course look but by doing tighter turns. The second round will often have trot jumps, halts, and hand gallops. We will have to adjust some jumps between the rounds. Jumps are set at 8th Hole. Each rider will get a score for each round. The rider with the highest combined score wins.

The Rusty Stirrup
Flat Cass
Rusty Stirrup is available to parents and Grandparents. The class is a flat class and we will have you walk, trot, and canter for those who can. The class will be judged on the equitation of each rider. Equitation means how you look; how nice you posture is and isn't judged on your horse. The rider with the best equitation will win the class.

The Team Hunter
Challenge
You sign up as an individual for the Team Hunter Challenge. We will draw out of a hat someone from the opposite height and you will be a team. The different heights are 4th Hole and 6th Hole. If there needs to be, two people who jump the same height can be a team. Riders will do this added course after the normal division courses. Both team member's scores will get added together and the team with the heighest combined score wins.

The Grand Prix
Jumps are set at 8th Hole and there are oxers. The jumps in the Grand Prix are different. There are jumps that are like oxers but they have another set of standards at the back of the jump. This jump is called a Triple Bar. The Grand Prix is judged by whoever goes fastest and stays clean wins. Clean means that no jumps fall down. If you drop a rail it is 4 faults same if you refuse. A refusal counts as 4 faults but if the jump crew has to put back up the jump before you can jump it we stop the clock. When the jump is ready we start the clock again and you continue the course from there. Anybody who goes clear makes it to the jump off. The jump off is normally a shorter course. In this course the same rule applies with whoever has the least amount of faults and the fastest time wins. The winner is the person with the lowest time cobined between the two rounds and fewest faults.

The Water Cup Challenge
There are two different groups for the Water Cup Challenge. The younger riders and the older riders. If two riders want to ride the same horse or pony one will have to go in one group and the other in the other. Each rider will get their own cup of water. All the cups are filled the same amount. The riders have their water in one hand and steer with the other hand. If you drop your cup or lose all you water you line up in the middle of the ring in the order that you lost your water in. You will walk, trot, sitting trot, and canter for those who can. At the end of the class we will measure each riders cup. Whoever lost the least amount of water wins.

Lead Line
Riders in Lead Line are required to walk. Horses and ponies are available. Each rider will be led by whoever they like.
